Approximately 35% of a building’s heat loss is through the walls, 25% via the roof, so insulating

your home as much as possible will make it a lot warmer, cosier and it will cost a lot less to

heat it, because the insulation prevents or severely slows down the heat

loss. External wall insulation, often referred to as ‘the wrap’ is a great retro fit for houses built

before 2010. There are SEAI individual energy upgrade grants available as insulation grants to

qualifying houses.
